3When you are finished using the other phone, log out of the phone by pressing Program + 5 + 6 (or Feature 600 + 5 + 6).

4Log back into your own phone by pressing Program + 5 + 6 (or Feature 600 + 5 + 6).

If the Multiple Contacts feature is enabled, you do not have to log out of one phone before logging into another.

Transferring a Call When you are on a call, the Transfer feature allows you to send the call from your telephone to any other internal line or, if your call permissions allow, to an external line.

Unattended Transfer In an unattended transfer, you transfer the call without notifying the recipient:

1While on a call, press Transfer or press Feature + 420. The system places the call on hold.

2Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call.

3Press the Transfer button again or press Feature + 420, then hang up.

Attended Transfer In an attended transfer, you announce the call to the recipient.

To announce a transfer:

1While on a call, press Transfer or press Feature + 420. The system places the call on hold.

2Dial the extension number to which you want to transfer the call and then press OK.

3When the recipient answers, announce the call.

If the recipient wants to take the call, press Transfer.

If the recipient does not want to take the call, hang up the second call and go back to the first call by pressing the Access button on which the call originated (on the Model 2101 phone, which has no Access button, press Toggle to return to the first call).
