Chapter4. How To Configure SIP
Surroundings
Tomake the Telecommuting Module aware of the network structure, the networks defined above should be listed on
theSurroundings page.
Oneeffect of this is that traffic between two users on different networks, or between one of the listed networks and
anetwork not listed here, is NAT:ed.
Anothereffect is that for connections between two users on the same network, or on networks where neither is
listedin Surroundings, no ports for RTP sessions will be opened, since the Telecommuting Module assumes that
theyare both on the same side of the firewall.
Normally,at least one network should be listed here. If no networks are listed, the Telecommuting Module will not
performNAT for any traffic.
Basic
Goto the Basic page under SIP Services and turn the SIP module on. Here you also select log classes for SIP event
logging.
Interoperability
IfWindows Messenger is used for SIP communication, you need to set a parameter on the Interoperability page.
Setlr=true status to On under Loose routing.
