Thermal Module Removal

Prerequisite:

Mainboard Removal

1.Locate thermal module (B) and heatsink (E) on mainboard. Refer to Figure 3-38.

2.Disconnect module cable from mainboard connector (A) as shown in Figure 3-40.

3.Loosen four (4) captive screws (B).

4.Remove four (4) non-captive screws (C) (M2.5*4.0-I) from mainboard in numerical order from five (5) to eight (8).

5.Remove three (3) non-captive screws (D) (M2.5*4.0-I) from mainboard.

6. Remove thermal module and heatsink from mainboard.
