BBE SYSTEM

The BBE system enhances the clarity of high-frequency sound.
Use panel 3 (page 8).
Press BBE repeatedly to select one of the three levels or the off
position.
Alter natively, press JOG MODE repeatedly until "BBE" appears
on the display, then turn MULTI JOG r ight or left to select one of
the three levels or the off position within 6 seconds.
(OFF)
To select with the remote control
Press BBE repeatedly while pressing SHIFT.

Q SURROUND SYSTEM

The Q SURROUND system built into this unit uses only two
speakers at the left and right to create an atmosphere that sounds
as if you are surrounded by two front speakers and two rear
speakers.
Use panel 3 (page 8).
To activate the Q SURROUND effect, press Q SURROUND so
that "Q-SUR ON" appears on the display.
The Q SURROUND indicator on the display is encircled.
Alternatively, press JOG MODE repeatedly until "Q-SUR OFF"
appears on the display, then turn MULTI JOG so that "Q-SUR
ON" appears within 6 seconds.

To cancel the Q SURROUND effect

Repeat the above again to select "Q-SUR OFF".

To operate with the remote control

Press Q SURR OUND while pressing SHIFT.
NOTE
• The Q SURROUND system does not work in monaural mode.
• When the Q SURROUND system is on, the sound may be
distorted at a higher volume. If this happens, turn the volume
down.

GRAPHIC EQUALIZER

This unit provides the f ollowing three different equalization curves.
ROCK: Po werful sound emphasizing treble and bass
POP: More presence in the vocals and midrange
JAZZ: Accented lower frequencies for jazz-type music
Use panel 3 (page 8).
Press one of the three buttons; ROCK, POP or JAZZ to select the
desired equalizer mode.
Alternatively, press JOG MODE repeatedly until "EQ" appears on
the display, then turn MULTI JOG right or left to select one of the
three equalizer modes within 6 seconds.
Example: When ROCK is selected

To cancel equalization

Press ROCK, POP or JAZZ which was previously pressed to select
the equalizer mode. "EQ OFF" is displayed.
Alternatively, press JOG MODE repeatedly until the currently
selected equalizer mode is displa y ed, then turn MUL TI JOG right
or left so that "EQ OFF" is displayed within 6 seconds.
To select with the remote control
Press EQ repeatedly.

Sound adjustment during recording

The output v olume and tone of the speak ers or headphones ma y
be freely varied without affecting the recording.
