Replacing the Power Button

Procedure

1Align the slots on the power button board with the alignment posts on the chassis and secure the power button board in place.

2Replace the screws that secure the power button board to the palm rest assembly.

3Connect the power button board cable to the connector on the system board.

1Replace the keyboard. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 48.

2Replace the center control cover. See "Removing the Center Control Cover" on page 41.

3Replace the compartment door. See "Replacing the Compartment Door" on page 15.

4Replace the battery pack. See "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 48.

5Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 11.
