The MAC address filter is a powerful se curity feature t hat allows you to spe cify which com puters are allowed on the wireless network� note: This lis t
applies only to wireles s computers� Th is list can be co nfigured so any c omputer attemptin g to access the wi reless network that is not speci fied in the
filter list will be deni ed access� Whe n you enable this f eature, you must en ter the MAC addres s of each client (c omputer) to which you want to allow
network access� The “Block” feature l ets you turn on and off access to t he network easil y for any computer without having to a dd and remove the
computer’s MAC address fr om the list�
setting up an allow access list
1� Select the “Allow” radio b utton (1) to begi n setting up a lis t of
computers allowed to co nnect to the wirel ess network�
2� Next, in the “MAC Address” field that is bla nk (3), type in the MAC
address of the wireles s computer you wan t to be able to acc ess
the wireless network, then click “<<Add” (4)
3� Continue to do this until all of the computers you want to add have
been entered�
4� Click “Apply Changes” (5) to finis h�
