Manually Configuring network settings in Windows 98sE or Me
1� Right-click on “My Netwo rk Neighborhood ” and select “Pr operties”
from the drop-down men u�
2� Select “TCP/IP -> settings” for yo ur installed net work adapter� You
will see the following wi ndow�
3� If “Specify an IP addres s” is selected, yo ur Router will nee d
to be set up for a stati c IP connection t ype� Write the add ress
information in the tabl e below� You will need to e nter this
information into the Rou ter�
6� Click the “DNS Configurati on” tab (1)� Write the DNS address(es) in
the chart�
7� If not alrea dy selected, sele ct “Obtain IP add ress automatical ly” in
the “IP Address” tab� Cli ck “OK”�
Restart the computer� When the computer restarts, your network
adapter(s) are now configured for use with the Router�

5� Click the “Gateway” tab (2)� Write th e gateway address d own in
the chart�
