Problem:
• The Setup Assistant c ompleted install ation, but my web br owser
doesn’t work�
• I am unable to connect to the Internet� T he “modem” LED on m y
Router is on, and the “i nternet” LED is bl inking�
solution:
1� If you cannot connect to the Internet, the “modem” LED is on,
and the “internet” LED is blinking, the pr oblem may be that your
connection type may n ot match the ISP’s co nnection�
2� If you have a “static IP addre ss” connection, your ISP must ass ign
you the IP address, sub net mask, and gate way address� Pleas e
refer to the section en titled “Alternate Setu p Method” for deta ils on
changing this setting�
3� If you have a “PPPoE” connectio n, your ISP will as sign you a user
name and password and sometimes a ser vice name� Make su re the
Router’s connection typ e is configured t o PPPoE and the sett ings
are entered properly� Ple ase refer to the s ection entitled “Alte rnate
Setup Method” for detai ls on changing thi s setting�
4� You may need to configure your R outer to meet the specific
requirements of your IS P� To search our knowledge ba se for
ISP-specific issues, go to: http://web�belkin�co m/support and t ype
in “ISP”�
If you are still unable to access the Inter net after verif ying these sett ings,
please contact Belki n Technical Support �

solution:
1� If the “modem” LED is bli nking, and the “inte rnet” LED is sol id,
but you are unable to ac cess the Internet , there may be thi rd-
party firewall soft ware installed o n the computer at tempting to
access the Internet� E xamples of third -party firewall software are
ZoneAlarm, BlackICE PC Protection, McAfee Personal Firewall, and
Norton Personal Firewa ll�
2� If you do have firewall soft ware installed on your computer, pleas e
make sure that you prope rly configure it� You can determine if
the firewall software is preventing Intern et access by temp orarily
turning it off� If, while t he firewall is disa bled, Internet ac cess works
properly, you will need to change the firewal l settings to func tion
properly when it is tu rned on�
3� Please refer to the instru ctions provided by the publisher of your
firewall software for instructions on c onfiguring the f irewall to allow
Internet access�
If you are still unable to access the Inter net after disab ling any firewall
software, please con tact Belkin Technica l Support�
