Depending on the thickness of the paper you are using, you can improve the quality of your output by selecting the correct thickness. This setting provides the best positioning of the paper for printing. For example if you were printing on thin paper, you would select Thin in the Paper Thickness selection to achieve the best paper handling and improved output for that paper type.
