PreScanning to crop a portion you want to scan
The Pre-Scanbutton is used to preview an image for cropping any unwanted areas from the image. When you are satisfied with the preview, click the Start button in the scanner window to scan the image.
How to Use PreScan to Adjust an Image:
Scanning a whole page

1Place the original face down in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder).

2Adjust the following settings, if required, in the Scanner window:

Resolution

Scan Type (Black & White, Gray [Error Diffusion], True Gray, 256 Color or 24-bit color)

Brightness

Contrast

Size

3Click the Start button in the scanner window.

When scanning is completed, click Cancel to return to the PaperPort® window.

1Place the original face down in the ADF.

2In the Twain-32 Brother MFLPro Color Setup dialog box, click the PreScan button.

The entire original will be scanned into the PC and will appear in the Scanning Area.

3To crop a portion of the original to be scanned, drag any side or corner of the dotted outline in the Scanning Area with the left mouse button. Adjust the dotted outline until it surrounds only the portion of the original you wish to scan.
