Choosing a location
Place your MFC on a flat , stable surface that is fre e of vibration and
shocks, such as a desk. Put the MFC near a telephone wall socket
and a standard, grounded AC pow er outlet. Choose a location whe re
the temperature remains betwe en 10° and 32.5°C.
Caution
■Avoid placing your MFC in a high -traffic area.
■Do not place near heaters, ai r conditioners, water, chemi cals, or
refrigerators.
■Do not expose the MFC to direct sunlight, excessive heat,
moisture, or dust.
■Do not connect your MFC to electrical sockets controlled by wall
switches or automatic tim ers.
■Disruption of power can wipe out information in the MFC’s
memory.
■Do not connect your MFC to electrical socket s on the same circuit
as large appliances or other equipment that might disrupt the
power supply.
■Avoid interference sour ces, such as speakers or the base unit s
of cordless phones.
