Setting the F/T Ring Time (Fax/Tel mode only)If you set the Receive Mode to Fax/Tel, you will need to decide how
long the MFC will signal you with its special pseudo/double-ring
when you have a voice call. (If it’s a fax call, the MFC prints the fax.)
This pseudo/double-ri ng happens after the in itial ringing from th e
phone company. Only the MFC rings (for 20, 30, 40 or 70 seconds)
and no other phones on the same line will ring with the special
pseudo/double-ring. However, you can still answer the call on any
extension phone (in a separat e wall socket/phone socket) or on th e
same line as the MFC. (See Operation from extension telephones on
page 5-9.)

Press or to select how
long the MFC will ring to alert you
that you have a voice call.
Press Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
Even if the caller hangs up dur ing the pseudo/double-ringin g,
the MFC will continue to ring for the set time.
