Using a cordless external handset
If your cordless tel ephone is connected to the correct socket on the
MFC and you typically carry the cordless handset elsewhere, it is
easier to answer calls during the Ring Delay. In Fax/Tel mode if you
let the MFC answer first, you will have to go to the MFC so you can
press Tel/R to transfer the call to the cordless handset.
Changing the remote codes
Remote Codes might not work with some telephone systems. The
preset Remote Act ivation code is 51. T he preset Deactivation
code is # 51.

If it is not illuminated in green, press (Fax).

Press Menu, 2, 1, 4.

Press or to select
On (or
Off).
Press Set.

Enter the new Remote Activation code.
Press Set.

Enter the new Deactivation code.
Press Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
If you are always disconnected when accessing your external
TAD remotely, try changing the Remote Activation code and
Deactivation code to anot her three-digit code (suc h as ### and
998).
