Downloading Images without Installing the Software
(Windows XP and Mac OS X (v10.1/10.2) only)
Ifyou are usingthe Windows XPor Mac OS X (v10.1/10.2), you can
usethe software distributed with these operating systems to
download images (JPEGformat only)without installingthe software
bundled onthe Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk. This is useful
for downloading images to acomputer in which the software is not
installed.
However,please note thatthere arecertain limitationsto downloading
with this method.

Mac OS X Usersleaflet.
1. Connect thesupplied USBinterfacecable to thecomputers USBport
andthe camera'sDIGITALterminal.(Referto step2 on page123).
2. Follow the onscreen instructions to download the images.

• It is recommended to power the / _"
camera from a household power [
outlet with the optional AC adapter Kit ACK500 when
connected to a computer (p. 141).
• If the USBcable isdetached while the camera power is on,
the camera will power down.
• All procedures performed with a connection to a USB2.0
compliant board are not guaranteed.
