Avoid Strong Magnetic Fields
Neverplace the camera in closeproximity toelectric motorsor other
equipment generating strong electromagnetic fields. Exposureto
strong magnetic fieldsmay cause malfunctions or corruptimage data.
Avoid Condensation Related Problems
Moving the equipment rapidly between hot andcold temperatures
maycause condensation (water droplets) toform on its external and
internal sulffaces. You can avoidthis byplacing the equipment inan
airtight, resealableplastic bag and letting it adjust to temperature
changesslowly before removing itfrom the bag.
If Condensation Forms Inside the Camera
Stop using the camera immediately ifyou detect condensation.
Continued use maydamage the equipment. Removethe CF card and
battery or Compact Power Adapter (ifconnected) from the cameraand
wait until the moisture evaporates completely before resuming use.
Extended Storage
When notusing thecamera for extended periods oftime, removethe
battery pack and store the equipment in a safe place. Storing the
camerafor extended periods witha batterypack installedwill run
down the battery pack and maydamage the camera. Pleasenote,
howevel, that the date, time and other camera settings may resetto
the default settings if the battery packhas been removed for more
