Itmay be difficult to focus on the following types of subjects. Use the
focus lock in these situations.
• Subjects with extremely low contrast to the surroundings
• Subjects with extremely bright objects at the center of the
composition
Subjects that are moving quickly
Subjects through glass:
Tryto shoot asclose to the glass aspossible to reduce the chances
of light reflecting back off the glass.
Shooting with the Focus Lock
Method 1
n Aim the camera so that an object at the samefocal distance as
the main subject is centered in the AFframe in the viewfinder or
LCD monitor.
Pressthe shutter button halfway and wait until two beeps sound.
Re-aimthe camera to compose the shot as desired and pressthe
shutter button all the way.
Method 2
• Turn the LCD monitor on.
• Aim the camera sothat an object atthe
samefocal distance as the main subject
iscentered inthe AFframe.
Pressand hold the shutter button
halfway until two beeps sound.
Without releasing your finger, pressthe
,_ / all,button.
• The [] iconwill display and the lower
indicator will light yellow.
