Troubleshooting

Use the following suggestions to troubleshoot problems with

Compaq iPAQ H3800 Pocket PC.

The symptom
or situation

I cannot see
anything on the
screen.
Make sure the screen is on.
Make sure the iPAQ PocketPC is connected to the AC
adapter and the universal cradle.
I cannot keep
my battery
charged.
Always keep the iPAQ PocketPC connected to a
universal cradle or AC adapter when you are not
using it.
In the backlight settings slide the bar to the lowest level
to conserve the most power.
The backlight
keeps turning
off.
Change the time the backlight stays on and choose to have
the backlight turn on when you touch the screen or push a
button.

cannot locate
my iPAQ

when I
synchronize.
Make sure your connection is secure.
Make sure the screen is on.
Make sure the battery is charged.
Remove your iPAQ PocketPC from the cradle or cable,
press the Power button, then put it back in the cradle or
connect it to the cable.
Insert the stylus into the Unit Reset Switch, then press
the switch for one second.
