All-Fruit Smoothie

Makes six 6-ounce servings
¹∕³ cup orange juice
1 cup cantaloupe, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup raspberries
1 cup canned pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup navel orange segments, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup strawberries, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 medium banana, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup ice cubes
Layer the ingredients i n the jar of Cuisinar t® SmartPower® 7-Speed Electronic
Blender in the order listed. Do not pack fr uit tightly into jar. Place c over on jar. Turn
blender on and proce ss on Liquefy until smooth, about 30 to 4 0 seconds. Turn
blender off. Serve im mediately.
Note:
The riper the fruit , the sweeter the smooth ie.

Banana-Pineapple Freeze

Makes two 8-ounce servings
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
½ medium banana, cut into 1-inch pieces
¼ cup instant fat-free dry milk
1 cup ice cubes
Place ingredients in ja r of Cuisinart® SmartPower® 7-Speed Electro nic Blender in
order listed. Place cover on jar. Turn blender on and p rocess on Liquefy until smooth,
about 25 to 30 seconds. Turn blender off. Serve immediately.

Hummus

Makes 2¼ cups
½ cup fresh lemon juice
2 cups canned, cooked garbanzo beans, drained
2 tablespoons water
4 medium garlic cloves, peeled, quartered
4 tablespoons tahini (optional)
1½ tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons table salt
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
Place lemon juice, garb anzo beans, water, garlic, ta hini, olive oil and sa lt in jar of
Cuisinart® SmartPower® 7-Speed Electronic Blender in order listed. Place c over on
jar. Turn blender on and proce ss on Liquefy until smooth, about 20 sec onds. Turn
blender off. Scrape bl ender jar with a sp atula. Turn blender on an d process an
additional 25 to 30 seco nds until smooth. Turn blen der off. Transfer to a ser ving dish,
and sprinkle with par sley. Serve at room tempe rature.

Minted Yogurt Sauce

Makes two cups
2 cups lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
Place ingredients in ja r of Cuisinart® SmartPower® 7-Speed Electro nic Blender. Place
cover on jar. Turn blender on an d process on Purée until well blended, abo ut 10 to 15
seconds. Turn blender of f. Serve chilled with fresh fruit.
Variation:
Substitute fruit-flavored yo gurt.
