59 Replacing the Middle Cover

Procedure

1Place the middle cover on the computer base and route the cables through their slots on the middle cover.

2Route the following cables through their routing guides on the middle frame:

•LVDS cable

•Display-power cable

•Infrared-receiver cable

•Camera cable

•Hard-drive power and data cable

•Optical-drive power and data cable

•Converter cable

•Power-button cable

•Display-backlight cable

3Replace the plastic shield above the LVDS and display-power cables.

4Connect the LVDS, display-power, and touchscreen cables to the display assembly.

5Replace the screw that secures the grounding cable to the middle cover.

6Connect the display-backlight cable to the display assembly.
