Installing the Mezzanine Card (10 GbE LAN)
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
Youshould only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in
yourproduct documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service
andsupport team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came
withthe product.

If you are installing a mezzanine card for the first time, remove the
twoscrews securing the mezzanine-card cover and remove the cover.
See Figure3-18.

Install a label bracket that has slots for connecting the mezzanine cards.

Align the spacer pins on the mezzanine card with the holes on the system
board.
NOTE: The three spacer pins must be inserted through the board for proper
installation of the mezzanine card.

Secure the board using the screw. See Figure3-18.

Replace the expansion-card riser assembly. See "Installing the Expansion-
Card Riser" on page76.

Replace the cooling shroud. See "Installing the Cooling Shroud" on
page61.

Replace the system cover. See "Closing the System" on page59.

Reconnect the system and peripherals to their electrical outlets, and turn
on the system.
