Removing the Video Card

grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.

NOTICE: Handle components and cards by their edges, and avoid touching pins
and contacts.

Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.

Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.

Remove any installed memory modules or Mini Cards (see "Memory" on
page 19 and "Communication Cards" on page31).

Remove the hard drive (see "Hard Drive" on page15).

Remove the internal card with Bluetooth
®
wireless technology (see
"Internal Card With Bluetooth

Wireless Technology" on page13).

Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page49).

Remove the display graphics cable from its connector.

Carefully lift up the video card assembly by pulling on the connector on
the system board.
