Removing Speakers

CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the

.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.

Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.

Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.

Remove any installed memory modules or Mini Cards (see "Memory" on
page 19 and "Communication Cards" on page31).

Remove the hard drive (see "Hard Drive" on page15).

Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page49).

Remove the audio connector board from the system board by removing the
screw and the audio connector cable. See "Removing the Audio Connector
Board" on page70.

Remove the two speaker screws (one on each speaker) from the computer
base.

Disconnect the speaker connector from the system board.
9
Remove the two speakers by lifting them up.
