Removing Speakers
CAUTION: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer.
1Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.
3Remove any installed memory modules or Mini Cards (see "Memory" on page 19 and "Communication Cards" on page 31).
4Remove the hard drive (see "Hard Drive" on page 15).
5Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page 49).
6Remove the audio connector board from the system board by removing the screw and the audio connector cable. See "Removing the Audio Connector Board" on page 70.
7Remove the two speaker screws (one on each speaker) from the computer base.
8Disconnect the speaker connector from the system board.
9Remove the two speakers by lifting them up.
