15Check all cable connections, and fold cables out of the way to allow for airflow between the fan and cooling vents.

16Reinstall the front drive bezel. See "Removing and Replacing the Front Drive Bezel" on page 46.

17Ensure that all connectors are properly cabled and firmly seated.

18Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 43.

19Reconnect the system to the electrical outlet, and turn on the system and attached peripherals.

See the documentation that came with the drive for instructions on installing any software required for drive operation.

20Enter the System Setup program (see "Entering the System Setup Program" on page 27), and ensure that the drive’s controller is enabled.

NOTICE: If the fan cable from the optional hard-drive carrier is not correctly connected to the FAN_HDD connector on the system board and detected by the system BIOS, premature drive failure can occur.

21Verify that the Optional Hard-Disk Drive field in System Setup displays Installed. See "Integrated Devices Screen" on page 32.

22Exit the System Setup program, and reboot the system.
