Using the Printer Software
The Epson software includes the printer driver software and EPSON Status Monitor 3. The printer driver allows your computer to control the printer and enables your Windows software applications to take full advantage of the printer’s capabilities.
Status Monitor 3 lets you monitor the status of your printer, alerts you when errors occur, and provides you with troubleshooting tips. It is automatically installed when you install the printer driver.
Note:
❏Before proceeding, make sure you have installed the printer software on your computer as described in the User’s Guide.
❏Make sure the software setting is set to ESC/P. The printer driver software and EPSON Status Monitor 3 can function only in ESC/P mode. (See page 67 for more information.)
❏Windows NT does not support the USB interface.
