166 Paper Handling
cCaution:
Do not leave paper in the printer for a long period of time; its quality will
deteriorate. Epson recommends that you remove the paper from the printer
after printing.
Loading paper into the rear manual feed slot
Note:
❏Load one sheet at a time into the rear feed slot.
❏Load paper with the printable side face-up.
❏Always load A4, Letter size, or 8

10 in. recycled or plain paper short edge first.
Other paper sizes and types with a thickness between 0.08 and 0.79 mm can be
loaded long edge first.
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and is in the READY state.
2. Press the paper source button to select sheet.
3. Align the sheet with the right edge of the slot and insert it until it meets
resistance. Make sure the sheet is straight.
The printer automatically feeds the paper to the printing position.
Note:
If you press the pause button, the printer starts to feed the paper to the printing
position immediately.
