Picture Controls submenu

This submenu lets you adjust the horizontal and vertical positions, height and width, brightness and contrast, and sharpness (Detail) of the image on the display. (The Picture Controls submenu is the same on both DSC models.)

The following picture settings can be adjusted:

Image Position — This option lets you adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the image on the display (the available range depends on the current output rate).

Image Size — This option lets you adjust the horizontal size (width) and vertical size (height) of the image. The range is limited by the output resolution (the maximum size is two times the output resolution).

Brightness and Contrast — This option lets you adjust the intensity of video light (brightness) and increase or decrease the range of image light and dark values (contrast) independently. The range is 0 through 127; the default is 64.

Detail — This option lets you adjust the image sharpness. The range is 0 to 127; the default is 64).

NOTE: An asterisk (*) following a value indicates that it is the default.
