Synchronize with

Select to use an NTP server to automatically set the system date

and time. You must specify the server and synchronization interval.

 

Alternatively, select Set Time.

Server

Enter the IP address or domain name of an NTP server. See

 

http://www.ntp.org to find an NTP server that you can use.

Sync Interval

Specify how often the FortiAnalyzer unit should synchronize its time

 

with the NTP server. For example, a setting of 1440 minutes causes

 

the FortiAnalyzer unit to synchronize its time once a day.

Changing the host name

Change the FortiAnalyzer host name to differentiate the FortiAnalyzer from other FortiAnalyzer units or other devices on your network.

To change the host name

1Go to System > Dashboard.

2In the System Information area, select Change for the Host Name.

3Enter a new name for the FortiAnalyzer unit.

4Select OK.

Changing the firmware

A FortiAnalyzer unit may be upgraded to a newer firmware version, or reverted to a previous firmware version by selecting Update in System Information. For more information about changing the firmware in the web-based manager, see “Managing firmware versions” on page 169.

License Information

The License Information area of the Dashboard displays information on features that vary by a purchased license or contract.

For more information about RVS (remote vulnerability scanning) updates, see “FortiGuard Center” on page 70.

RVS Engine

The version of the RVS engine, and the date of its last update.

 

Select Update to upload a new version of the engine. For more

 

information on RVS, see “FortiGuard Center” on page 70.

 

This feature is not available on the FortiAnalyzer-100.
