8.5Replacing the system fan
The server system fan can easily be replaced during servicing.
ÊOpen the server (see "Opening and closing the server").

ÊPull the cable off the fan (1).
ÊPress on the clip (2) from behind and remove the fan (3).
ÊPlace the new fan in the bay. The proper fan position can best be judged from the outside at the back of the server. When doing so, make sure the fan clip (a) engages properly (2).
ÊConnect the cable to the fan.
ÊClose the server again (see "Opening and closing the server").
