UTILISATION D’UN CONDUIT

MÉTALLIQUE SOUPLE POUR

L’ÉVACUATION TRANSITOIRE

L’utilisation de conduits métalliques rigides ou semi-rigides est recommandée pour l’évacuation transitoire entre la sécheuse et le mur. Dans les installations spéciales où il est impossible d’effectuer un raccordement conforme aux recommandations précédentes, alors un conduit métallique souple transitoire homologué UL peut être utilisé entre

la sécheuse et le mur uniquement . L’utilisation de ce type de conduit affectera la durée du séchage. Le fabricant ne reconnaît que ces types de conduits souples comme étant spécialement conçus pour être utilisés avec la machine. Aux États-Unis, le conduit doit être conforme à la norme Outline for Clothes Dryer Transition Duct (Directives générales concernant

le conduit de transition des sécheuses de linge, chapitre 2158A).

Si un conduit métallique souple transitoire se révèle nécessaire, les consignes suivantes doivent être respectées :

•Utilisez la plus petite longueur possible. La longueur totale de conduit métallique souple ne dépassera pas 2.4 m.

•Étirez le conduit à sa longueur maximale.

•Ne l’écrasez pas ou ne le pliez pas.

•N’utilisez jamais de conduit métallique souple dans le mur ou à l’intérieur de la sécheuse.

•Évitez de poser le conduit sur des objets pointus.

•L’évacuation doit être conforme aux normes locales de construction.
