6.Hold the drill chuck with one hand and remove the draw nut and washer with the other hand. The drill chuck should now be easily removed from the bottom as shown in
Figure 57.

7.Remove the draw bolt from the drill chuck arbor and thread it into the mill arbor. Note— use the flats on the draw bolt to loosen or tighten it in the arbors.
8.Firmly insert your collet chuck into the spin- dle taper.
9.Insert the flat washer and thread the hex nut onto the end of the draw bolt.
10.Hold the collet chuck in place with the span- ner wrench and tighten the hex nut on the draw bolt just enough to snug it in place. See Figure 58. DO NOT tighten the hex nut too tight or the collet chuck will be hard to remove from the spindle taper.
