Parametric app

The Parametric app enables you to explore parametric equations. These are equations in which both x and y are defined as functions of t. They take the forms x = f(t) and

y = g(t) .

Getting started with the Parametric app

The Parametric app uses the customary app views: Symbolic, Plot and Numeric described in chapter 5.

Throughout this chapter, we will explore the parametric equations x(T) = 8sin(T) and y(T) = 8cos(T). These equations produce a circle.

view. It is where you symbolically define (that is, specify) the parametric expressions you want to explore.
