3.3.2 Verifying Installation

To verify 3PAR Recovery Manager installation on a Linux system:

1Log in as the root user.

2Issue the rpm command as follows:

Description :

3PAR Recovery Manager for Oracle on Linux, it provides a set of utilities to perform 3PAR Virtual Copy administration for online backup, restore and off-host processing.

3After the installation is complete on the primary and backup hosts, you can allow Oracle users and Database Administrators group access to the Recovery Manager commands and utilities by changing the owner and permissions of the following directories (required for Oracle users):

◆/opt/3par/vcdbaora

◆/etc/3par/solutions

◆/etc/3par/solutions/log

◆/etc/3par/solutions/lock

◆/etc/3par/solutions/<primary_host>.ora.<oracle_sid>
