ŸReplace the System board.

The following external input devices are supported computer:

ŸNumeric keypad

Ÿ Mouse (PS/2 compatible)

ŸKeyboard

If any of these devices do not work, reconnect connector and repeat the failing operation.

If the problem still exists, replace the device, system board.

Audio Function Check

Do as follows:

1.Boot from the diagnostics diskette and start Doctor program (please refer to “Running the PC Doctor Diagnostics Program” on page 135).

2.SelectInteractive Tests .

3. SelectInternal Speaker .

If no sound is played, replace the speaker o system board.

4. Selectereo Speaker .

If no music is played, replace the speaker o system board.

TrackPoint		IV	Check
If	the	external mouse is connected, the TrackPoint
not	work.	In this case, please detach the exter
check the			TrackPoint.

If this does not correct the TrackPoint problem, c with the following:

Note:	After		you	use	the TrackPoint, the				pointer		dri
	the screen for a short time. This self-actin
	movement		can	occur when a			slight,		steady		pres
	sure is applied to the TrackPoint pointer. Thi
	symptom is not a hardware problem. No service
	actions		are	necessary		if	the	pointer		movement
	stops		in a short period of time.
If	a	click	button		problem	or	pointing	stick		problem
do	the	following:

1.Boot from the diagnostics diskette and start Doctor program (please refer to “Running the PC Doctor Diagnostics Program” on page 135).

2.SelectInteractive Tests .

3.SelectMouse .

4.Follow the instructions in the message window.
