Note: If the LCD has no display after changing th code, make sure you write the correct ID try reconnecting the LCD FPC cable connectors.

Setting the Thermal Sensor: The system is

equipped with sensors to protect against system ov heating. By setting the system and processor ther thresholds, the system can turn on the cooling Fan shut down automatically when the temperature reache defined threshold parameters.

System experiencing frequent auto sensor shutdown ma need to reset the thermal sensor threshold.

Follow the steps below to set the thermal threshol

1.Boot from the Maintenance Program Diskette.

2.Select Thermal Sensor Utility from PC DOS 7.0 Startup menu.

3.Follow the instructions on the screen to set t thresholds.

Data:

The EEPROM on the

system

board contains the vital product data (VPD)

system

serial number and a system boar

number. When you replace the system board, resto system unit serial number using the VPD Data Utili serial number label is attached to the computer.
