Running USB Register and Connection

Test: Boot from the Diagnostic Program Diskette and

select

"Running USB Connect/Disconnect Test" from PC

DOS 7.0

Startup

Menu.

Follow the instructions on the

screen

to execute the USB test. If the test f

“System

Board

Check”

on page 27.

Utility Program Diskette

The Utility Program Diskette provides the three fol functions:

Ÿ “Setting the Inverter ID”

Ÿ “Setting the Thermal Sensor”

Ÿ“Writing the VPD Data” on page 55

Setting

the

Inverter ID:

There is an EEPROM in

 

 

the

inverter, which store its supported

LCD

type a

code.

If

you replace

the LCD with one

of

a dif

the

ID information in the inverter EEPROM should be

updated.

 

 

 

 

Follow the steps below to set the LCD inverter ID:

1.Boot from the Utility Program Diskette.

2.Select Panel ID Diagnostic from PC DOS 7.0 Startup Menu.

3.Follow the instructions on the screen to read t

current ID Code or to set a new inverter ID

Note: When

you

set

a new inverter

ID and

the

LCD is

not

yet

enabled

(to

function),

conne

an external CRT to see

the

program execut

process.

 

 

 

 

 

Attention: Make sure that the new ID code you choose corresponds to the LCD brand and type. you write a wrong ID into the inverter, just r re-execute the program and input the correct I

4.Restart the computer — the new LCD should work normally.

Note: If the LCD has no display after changing the code, make sure you write the correct ID c try reconnecting the LCD FPC cable connectors.

Setting the Thermal Sensor: The system is

equipped with sensors to protect against system ove heating. By setting the system and processor therma thresholds, the system can turn on the cooling Fan AS shut down automatically when the temperature reaches defined threshold parameters.

System experiencing frequent auto sensor shutdown may need to reset the thermal sensor threshold.

Follow the steps below to set the thermal threshold:
