Facility requirements

To ensure correct operation of the switch, the facility where the switch is in use must meet the requirements shown in Table 24.

Electrical	Primary AC input: 100–240 VAC, 2.0 A, 47–63 Hz; switch autosenses input
	voltage.
	Adequate supply circuit, line fusing, and wire size, as specified by the electrical
	rating on the switch nameplate.
	Circuit protected by a circuit breaker and grounded in accordance with local
	electrical codes.
Thermal	4/8, 4/16, 4/64 and 4/32B SAN Switches: A minimum airflow of 47 cubic
	ft/minute available in the immediate vicinity of the switch.
	4/32 SAN Switch: A minimum airflow of 24 cubic ft/minute available in the
	immediate vicinity of the switch.
	Ambient air temperature not exceeding 40 ºC (104 ºF) while the switch is operating.
Cabinet (when	4/8, 4/16 4/32 and 4/32B SAN Switches:
rack mounted)	One rack unit in a 48.3 cm (19 in) cabinet.
