Selecting digital input signal
Set the INPUT SELECT switch located on the front panel to HDV/DV.
Inputs IEEE1394 terminal HDV or DV digital video.
For audio, digital audio is input from the IEEE1394 terminal.
Settings for digital video format
Set according to whether the IEEE1394 termi- nal input video format is HDV or DV.
Set the IEEE1394 switch on the front panel, according to the video format of the input signal.

zDuring digital signal input, make sure the IEEE1394 switch setting matches the input signal video format. When the switch setting does not match the video format, no recording operation is available.
zDuring HDV signal input, match the HD signal format (60Hz or 50Hz) to the input signal for- mat.
