Recording from the Radio/External Equipment

See page 65 for more information about the warning messages shown on the display.

Preparation:

Connect a recordable USB device to the USB 2 terminal. (See page 7.)

To record from the external equipment, connect an external equipment to the System. (See page 14.)

Make recording settings. (See page 29.)

1Select “FM,” “AM” or “AUDIO IN” as the source.

2For radio: Tune in to a desired station.

3Enter recording mode.

4Select a group to record the track into.

You can also give title to the new group before recording. See the next column.

5Start recording.

For AUDIO IN: Start playback on the connected equipment after pressing USB REC. Recording starts automatically when sound signal is detected on the System.

You cannot change the source while recording.

When MARKING is set to MANUAL MARK (see page 29), press ENTER/SET when you want to divide the recorded track.

6Stop recording.

To give title to a new group before recording

When you record tracks into “FORM GR?”, you can give a group title before starting to record.

1After selecting “FORM GR?”...

2Edit the group title.

For entering a title, see “How to enter titles” on page 33.

3Finish the procedure.

Recording starts.
