Initializing The Library
In order to make room for data from another INDEX Plus+ VCR's directory, you can eliminate all data currently in the library.
Preparation
1.Turn on the power to the TV and the VCR.
2.Set the TV to the channel or mode appropriate for video playback.
3.Insert an HR tape.
Procedure
1Press INDEX Plus+. The tape's directory appears.

NOTES:
●At the bottom of the screen, the amount of memory currently being used is shown. It begins blinking when there's no memory space open.
●If you press 1, the "WARNING" screen that comes up when you import another library appears.

Press CLEAR to continue, or press CANCEL to return to the UTILITY screen.

(CANCEL) : NO
The VCR gives you one chance to change your mind, as initializing the library erases all data currently stored there. To go ahead and initialize, select YES by pressing ENTER, then proceed to step 5. If you change your mind, select NO by pressing CANCEL. The UTILITY screen reappears.
