Finding A Program (cont'd)
NOTE: If you press PLAY or STOP while the directory appears, and for some reason the VCR cannot find the program you selected on the inserted tape, the following screen appears to tell you this.

Tape Number Search
In this case the VCR uses the Tape Number to find the desired program. All tapes recorded on an INDEX Plus+ VCR, and those indexed using INDEX Plus+, have Tape Numbers.
1Follow the instructions in the box under "Searching For a Program" on page 16 to access the FIND screen.

Input the Tape Number using the DIGIT buttons. Press CLEAR to make corrections, or CANCEL to quit the process. Once the number is input, press ENTER.
3 a If the number you input is not in the VCR's
memory, the following screen appears:

5Normally the VCR finds your program quickly and starts playback from the begnning of the selected program, or stops at that point.
