Other Convenient Functions(cont'd)
Preparation
1. Turn on the power to the TV and the VCR.
2. Set the TV to the channel or mode appropriate for
video playback.
3. Insert an HR tape.
Procedure
1Press INDEX Plus+. The
tape's directory appears.
Press F3.
2The UTILITY screen
appears.
Press 2.
3The screen to the right
appears:
Press ENTER. Or press CANCEL to return to the
UTILITY screen.
4The screen to the right
appears:
5Press CANCEL to return to the normal screen.
All INDEX Plus+ functions are now disabled.
Procedure
1When INDEX Plus+ is disabled, press INDEX
Plus+.
2The screen to the right
appears:
To re-enable INDEX Plus+, press ENTER. Or press
CANCEL to return to the normal screen.
NOTE: You can also re-enable INDEX Plus+ by
choosing "ON" at the INDEX PLUS+ FUNCTIONS
SETTING screen (Zpg. 9).

ATTENTION
When combining the contents of several tapes
recognized by this VCR's library into one tape,
make sure that you set INDEX PLUS+
FUNCTIONS to ON and use this VCR as the
recorder. If you record with INDEX PLUS+
FUNCTIONS set to OFF, or if you use a non-
INDEX Plus+ VCR as the recorder, you must set
INDEX PLUS+ FUNCTIONS to OFF to playback
on this VCR, or problems will arise in the library.
