If “CANNOT LISTEN” appears in the main display

During high-speed recording (see page 33), you cannot listen to any source, and therefore, cannot adjust the volume level.

For adjusting the recording level

Normally, the VOLUME control and VOLUME +/– buttons work to adjust the playback sound volume.

If you want to adjust the recording level, see “To adjust the recording input level” on page 35.

DO NOT turn off (on standby) the unit with the volume set to an extremely high level; otherwise, the sudden blast of sound can damage your hearing, speakers and/or headphones when you turn on the unit or start playing any source.

REMEMBER you cannot adjust the volume level while the unit is in standby mode.
