theresinbeadsandtheyaredischargedout thedrain.
Howmuchbrineisneededtocleantheresindepends
on:
-- theamountofresininthesoftener,
-- how fast thebrinegoesthroughthebed.
Thenozzleandventuri(FIG. 6)makesuctiontotake
brinefromthesalt tankand putitintotheresintank.
They keepthebrineflowdowntoaveryslowrateto
get thebestresincleaningwiththeleastsalt.
¢BRINERINSE:Afterall of thebrineismovedinto
theresintank,thebrinevalvecloses.Waterkeeps
flowingthesamewayitdid duringbriningexcept
thebrineflowhas stopped.Hardness minerals and
brineflushfromtheresintanktothedrain.Brining
andbrinerinsetogethervaryinthelengthof time
theytake,relativetothefill cyclelength.
