Switch the DC power supply ON, then

press the PWR switch.

 

Turn the VOL and SQL controls to approximately the 9 oclock position.

Press [BAND SEL] to select the VHF or UHF band.

Turn the Tuning control to select a frequency.

Press and hold Mic [PTT], then speak in your normal tone of voice.

Release Mic [PTT] to receive.

Repeat steps and to continue communication.
