6-1. Selecting the Destination

Send to a Shared Folder (Scan to PC (SMB))

This function sends scanned data to a specified shared folder of a PC. Enter the address, login password, etc., of the destination PC using the copier's touch panel.

There are two methods of selecting a destinations: manually inputting a destination and selecting a destina- tion from previously registered destinations.

„Selecting the destination from the destinations already registered ( Page 144)

It is not possible to select multiple destinations at the same time.

When a shared folder is not set for the PC to transmit or the access rights for the shared folder have not been set for "Write (full control)", transmission cannot be performed. For setting shared folders, refer to the Windows operation manual.

Transmission by Unix/Linux to the Samba server cannot be performed.

The PC may not operate normally depending on the Windows domain environment. In such instances, change the setting of the PC to "work group" for transmission.

Inputting the destination manually

1 Touch the [PC(SMB)] key on [Scanner mode basic] screen.

The [PC(SMB) select] screen is displayed.

2 Set the file name of scanned data. Touch the [File name] key.

The [Data Input] screen is displayed.
