Changing the Paper Size

F Square the paper and load it in the tray.

Important

Do not stack paper over the lim- it mark.

G Adjust the side and back fences to the new paper size.

Important

When setting small quantities of copy paper, be careful not to squeeze in the side fence too much or paper will not be fed properly.

H Push the paper tray in until it stops.

Select the new paper size with the User Tools. See p.51 “Select- ing the Paper Size with the User Tools”.

Changing the Paper Size in the Optional Paper tray unit

A Make sure that the paper tray is not being used.

B Pull out the paper tray until it stops.

Remove any remaining copy

paper.

C Adjust the back fence.

Note

When you load 81/4" ⋅ 14"L or 81/2" ⋅ 14"L copy paper, place the back fence in the corner pocket on the left.
