A dedicated service is conÞgured the same way as a preferred service. No dedicated service is conÞgured for the MSS by default.
Ex: CHANGE DEDICATED LAT:LN=vax8:LD=0005
NOTE: Because dedicated connections leave no easy way to log into the server, configuring the MSS serial port for dedicated service is not recommended unless incoming logins are enabled.
Otherwise, only Telnet console port connections are possible.
¥Autostart: Normally, the serial port will wait for a carriage return before starting a connection. When the Autostart option is enabled, the connection will be established as soon as the unit boots. If modem control is enabled, the connection will be established as soon as the DSR signal is asserted.
A port set for Autostart will not be idle, and therefore will not be available for network connections. If network connections are desired, Autostart should remain disabled (the default).
