6.Slide the new optical drive into the optical drive bay from the front of the server until the optical drive snaps into position.

7.Reinstall the front bezel. See “Removing and reinstalling the front bezel” on page 19.

Connecting a SATA drive

You can connect a SATA optical drive or a SATA hard disk drive to an available SATA connector on the system board.

To connect a SATA drive, do the following:

1.Connect one end of the signal cable to the SATA drive and the other end to an available SATA connector on the system board. See “System-board internal connectors” on page 14.
