6.2 Starting Up
To bring up the Log Server, run the Log Server either by double clicking its icon, or by keying in the full path to CN6kLogServer_x_x_xxxLindy.exe on the command line. A screen similar to the one below appears:
Note: The MAC address and port number of the computer that will contain the Log Server Events database must be specified on the Network page of the Administrator Utility (see p. 15).
The screen is divided into three components:
•A Menu Bar at the top
•A panel to display a list of CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH units below it (see p. 50 for details)
•A panel to display an Events List at the bottom
Each of the components is explained in the sections that follow.
