LINDY CPU IP Access Switch | User Manual |
Security
The Security page is used to control access to the CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH.
•User station filters permit or deny access to the CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH for specific IP and MAC addresses attempting to access the system with CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH Client software.
•The Java Access Page lets the Administrator specify the page that the user connects to when he uses the Java Client to access the CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH. Users must include the name of this page in the IP address that they specify, or they will not be granted access. If no name is specified here, no one will be able to access the CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH with the Java Client.
For security purposes, we recommend that you change the name of this page from time to time.
See p. 25 for information regarding the implementation of a Java Access Page; see chapter 5 for Java Client details.
•Admin station filters specify which MAC addresses are allowed to access the system with the CPU IP ACCESS SWITCH Administrator program. If nothing is specified here, there are no restrictions.
